Going to Midwinter? Â Then, you should definitely join us on Saturday, January 8th for the NMRT Midwinter Social. Â We can promise an evening of sweet treats, fun raffle items, and networking at a favorite librarian venue…a bookstore.
The NMRT Midwinter Social is open to all ALA members and will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Borders Bookstore in San Diegoâ€™s fabulous Gaslamp district.
Desserts will be provided and your browsing experience enhanced by a 10% discount on anything you buy before, during or after the reception if you sign up for the Borderâ€™s program!
The NMRT Resume Review Service (RRS) Committee is looking for volunteers to greet participants and review resumes at the Resume Review Service Booth for the ALA 2011 Midwinter Conference located in San Diego, CA!
The Placement Center for Midwinter will be located in the San Diego Convention Center, Lower Level, Hall H. Our service will be there at 9:00am-5:00pm on Saturday and Sunday, 8-9, Jan. 2011.
This is a fun way to meet, talk, and network with people from all over the country!
The schedules of Resume Reviewers and Booth greeters are available on the Committee’s Wiki .
Volunteers usually work one or two hour shifts. You will be asked to greet and sign-up ALA members interested in getting their resumes reviewed.

Candidate biographies will be available online in February and the Online Candidate Forum will take place in February/March.
The forum will allow nominees to discuss their candidacy and answer questions while providing NMRT members with an opportunity to ask questions about the issues that matter most to them.
